Title: Hurricane Keita | Author: Triana | Fandom: w-inds./GacktJOB | Rating: PG | Summary: Gackt plays a small prank on Keita. | Warnings: None, really, just that I'm completely nuts. | Disclaimer: The disclaimer is here.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

Gackt eyed his watch and nodded to himself. Yup, it was time for Keita to either sleep through his alarm or keep hitting the snooze button. He idly wondered which it would be today: sleep or snooze? He preferred the snooze button days, really--that constant infernal beeping was enough to make you go bonkers, at least slightly, and Gackt knew he was nuts enough already, thank you very much.

Keita's alarm, which Gackt had sneaked and turned on himself only an hour before, stopped just then and he smiled. It was going to be a snooze button day.

"He's going to wear that button out one of these days."

It didn't really matter which kind of day it was, not when you got right down to it. Keita was invariably rushed either way. That never changed. A small thing to be sure, but it was a constant thing in the life of a man for whom constants were few and far between. Plus it was entertaining in a twisted way: watching the younger boy run around like a chicken with its head cut off was always fun and never failed to make Gackt smile. Was it schadenfreude? Probably. Was it ritual, even anticipated, looked forward to? Most definitely. Keita rushed and Gackt was amused.

Normal people have morning cartoons. Gackt had this, and considered it infinitely better.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

One down, one to go. Gackt had timed it several times before: twenty minutes after the alarm's first round of obnoxious beeping Keita would crack an eye open, see the time, and begin his morning freak out.

He'd already checked to be sure that the kitchen was stocked with honey buns and such for his friend's breakfast on the go--they weren't exactly healthy but Gackt wasn't about to let Keita skip breakfast. He knew the boy often had to work through lunch and the way he figured it, one of them ought to eat reasonably normally. Since Gackt didn't, didn't even want to, that left Keita.

Another look at his watch told Gackt that it was time to move to the doorway of the room he was in and get ready for his morning's entertainment. He'd tried standing in the hallway once to get a better view, but only once. Keita had nearly run him over that time and he was saved only by his lightning-fast reflexes and the unused overhead electric lighting fixture. Gackt had stayed out of the hall after that: he was a superhero and a damned good one, but Keita in a hurry was a foe not even The Magnum could handle.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

"Aaaaaagh!" came the cry from Keita's bedchamber.

Gackt grinned. Right on schedule. He glanced at his watch again and counted off thirty seconds, the amount of time it usually took for Keita's disgusted grumbling to and at himself to become loud enough for Gackt to hear. Twenty-seven, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thir--aha! There it was, the grumbling and the same things Keita always avowed: to not sleep in anymore, or to at least set his alarm earlier so he could sleep in and still not have to hurry, to find the asshat who invented the alarm clock and break his knees, and that six o'clock in the morning should really be fired. Like, yesterday.

Oh, yeah. Definitely better than television.

Keita dashed down the hall then, dance bag in hand, and Gackt stepped back to avoid being seen. "I wonder how long it'll take him to realize it's his day off."

Phwoar, so I wonder if I've attacked Cammy enough on how cute all of these are, and how genius this is, and omg, you XD. You're awesome. Not only was this cute, but it also made me break out into song. [Schadenfreude! Making the world a better place to be!]
